Delete Your Account
Important: This action is permanent
Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from our servers, including your profile information, favorites, playlists, and listening history. This action cannot be undone. Downloaded audio files stored locally on your device will not be affected.
What gets deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed within 30 days:
- Your account profile (name, email, profile picture)
- Your favorites and saved Surahs
- Your custom playlists
- Your listening history and preferences
- Your app settings synced to the cloud
- All authentication tokens and sessions
What is NOT deleted
- Audio files you have downloaded locally to your device (you can delete these manually)
- Any data retained for legal, tax, or regulatory obligations (in anonymized form)
How to delete your account
You can delete your account using any of the following methods:
Method 1: Submit a request below
Fill out the form below with the email address associated with your Qiraat account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
Method 2: Email us directly
Send an email to contact@qiraat.ca with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will confirm receipt and process your request within 30 days.
Method 3: From within the app
Follow these steps in the Qiraat app:
- Open the Qiraat app and go to your Profile
- Tap on Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account will be scheduled for deletion
Account Deletion Request
Please provide the email address associated with your Qiraat account. We will send a confirmation email before proceeding with the deletion.
You will receive a confirmation email before your account is deleted. If you change your mind, you can cancel the deletion within 14 days by contacting us at contact@qiraat.ca.
